Kris P. Kurtz

As the Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Kurtz is responsible for the executive leadership of Metro Health’s Financial Operations, Decision Support, Capital Planning, Patient Financial Services, Health Information Management, and Procurement. Mr. Kurtz is a graduate of Michigan State University, a certified public accountant and has more than 25 years of healthcare experience including 20 years in a financial leadership role.

Prior to joining Metro Health Mr. Kurtz served in various leadership positions from 2000-2007 within Trinity Health most recently as Controller at St. Joseph’s Healthcare (now Henry Ford Macomb) in Clinton Township. Kris started his career in public accounting in 1991 at Wolinski & Company, CPA in Detroit eventually becoming a Senior Manager before joining Trinity Health in 2000.
