Alexandra Eastman

Alexandra Eastman is currently the Director, Media & Presentations at The Metropolitan Opera. Alexandra has previously worked as a Playground Associate at the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation and as a Wheelchair Escort at Prosegur.

Alexandra has always been interested in the arts, and they pursued this interest by studying Communications and Media Studies at Fordham University. After graduation, they began their career working in the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation, where they organized and implemented team games, tournaments, multi-game events and other formal competitive activities to enhance program participation. Alexandra also developed various curricula to meet facility needs, facilitate skill development among participants and staff, and evaluate outcomes and objectives during and after program implementation to assess productivity.

In 2020, Alexandra took on a new challenge when they began working as a Wheelchair Escort at Prosegur. In this role, they were responsible for escorting guests in wheelchairs to their seats at various events. Alexandra quickly learned how to navigate different venues and ensure that guests had a positive experience.

In their current role as Director, Media & Presentations at The Metropolitan Opera, Alexandra is responsible for managing all aspects of the Opera's media presentation, including audio, video, and lighting. Alexandra also oversees the production of special event presentations. In this role, they have been able to use their creativity and organizational skills to create memorable experiences for Opera fans around the world.

Alexandra Eastman has a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from John Jay College (CUNY), and an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice from Queensborough Community College. Alexandra also has certification from CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies in CSTEP Project L.A.W.

Alexandra Eastman reports to Mia Bongiovanni, Assistant GM, Media. Some individuals on their team include Yolanda Williams - Media Associate, Joanna Poses - Media Archivist, and Merrin Lazyan - Media Producer. Alexandra Eastman works with Steven Carter - Digital Asset Manager, Sean Havrilla - Director, Met Opera on Demand, and Ellen Keel - Senior Radio Producer & Editor.
