David Harrison is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in service operations and management, currently serving as the Head of Service Operations at Metropolitan Police since October 2012. In this senior leadership role, David oversees approximately 50 full-time employees, managing customer-facing operations for over 80 national systems around the clock. David has held various positions within Metropolitan Police, including interim lead for IT service operations during the Covid-19 pandemic, where key operational adjustments were made. Previous roles include IT Service Support Manager and IT Service Desk Manager, where David developed performance metrics and established a robust operational service desk. Before Metropolitan Police, David gained experience at Coventry City Council and Lloydspharmacy, providing technical support and coordinating ICT issues. David holds a Master of Arts in Leadership and Management from Coventry University.
