Sean McElroy

Sean McElroy's career spans decades of experience in law enforcement and finance. Currently serving as a Detective Constable with the Metropolitan Police since June 2019 and as a DC Anti-Corruption with the Met Police UK since March 2024, McElroy specializes in internal investigations. Prior to this, tenure included a role as an AVP Cyber Intelligence Analyst at Barclays Corporate Banking, where McElroy focused on human intelligence investigations and OSINT policy implementation. A background with the Metropolitan Police from 2002 to 2017 involved cyber operations, covert internet investigations, and social network investigations. McElroy also has experience in financial markets as an Equities Trader at Cashline Securities in Hungary and a Foreign Exchange Broker at Tullett and Tokyo Forex. Education was completed at St Ignatius College. McElroy holds certification as a MCafee Social Media Intelligence Expert.
