Meghan Gleason

Meghan Gleason is a public defender with extensive experience in legal practice, currently serving at the Metropolitan Public Defender since December 2022. Prior to this role, Meghan held a similar position at Umpqua Valley Public Defender from November 2019 to December 2022. Previous experience includes serving as a judicial clerk at Lane County Circuit Court, where legal research, writing, and jury management were primary responsibilities. Meghan began their legal career as a certified clinic student at Public Defenders Services of Lane County and further developed skills as a certified law clerk with the Oregon Department of Justice. Additional roles include summer legal internships and advocacy work, alongside academic support positions during studies at Drury University. Meghan obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Oregon School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Drury University.
