Andrea Maestrejuan serves as a Professor of History at Metropolitan State University of Denver since August 2009, previously holding the position of Assistant Professor. Additionally, Andrea Maestrejuan has been an Oral Historian Consultant for the City of Hope Archives since May 2009 and worked as an Oral Historian in the UCLA Department of Pediatrics from September 2005 to January 2009. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in History from UCLA and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine, with studies at the University of California, Riverside from 1989 to 1992.
