April Hill is a Professor of Chemistry and Director of Criminalistics at Metropolitan State University of Denver since August 2010, where responsibilities include teaching General Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Instrumental Analysis, and Forensic Chemistry, alongside active participation in service activities related to STEM initiatives and accessibility. Prior to this, April held the position of Associate Professor of Chemistry and Director of Criminalistics at the Center for Nanoscale Science at Pennsylvania State University from January 2008 to October 2010, focusing on educational outreach in materials science for K-12 audiences. April Hill earned a PhD in Analytical Chemistry and a Graduate Certificate in Forensic Sciences from Iowa State University, as well as a BA in Chemistry from Central College.
