John Babcock

John Babcock serves as the Director of Orientation and Retention at Metropolitan State University of Denver since April 2018, having previously held the position of Associate Director for Orientation, Transition, and Retention. Prior experience includes being an Academic Advisor at the University of Colorado from November 2017 to April 2018 and a Success Team Manager and Senior College Counselor at Bottom Line from July 2011 to November 2017, where responsibilities included counseling low-income college students and leading outreach programs. Earlier, John was a Corps Member and Mathematics Teacher with Teach For America from June 2009 to June 2011, demonstrating significant success in improving student outcomes. John holds a Master of Education in Secondary Education from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from The University of Kansas.
