K Scherrer is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in social work education. Currently serving as a Professor and BSSW Program Director at Metropolitan State University of Denver since August 2014, K Scherrer has led initiatives in curriculum development, program administration, and accreditation activities while enhancing course content focused on privilege, oppression, and gender issues. Previously, K Scherrer held the position of Assistant Professor at Rutgers University, where research centered on the intersection of sexuality and social inequality within family systems. K Scherrer holds a PhD in Social Work and Sociology, as well as multiple degrees from the University of Michigan and a BA from the University of Colorado Boulder.
