Jonathan Pimentel

Jonathan Pimentel has extensive experience in transportation planning and management, currently serving as Manager of HASTUS and Data Distribution at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority since January 2014. In this role, Jonathan oversees business procedures and support for Subway Scheduling Units, manages daily operations of the Data Distribution Staff, and coordinates with the MTA Print Shop. Previous positions include Assistant Manager, Principal Transportation Planner, and Senior Transportation Planner at the same organization, where responsibilities encompassed operations management, financial analysis, and schedule analysis. Jonathan's earlier experience includes serving as Service Planner of Bus Operations for NJ Transit and internships focused on transportation planning and GIS applications with the Regional Plan Association and the Township of Toms River. Educational credentials include a Master’s in Urban Planning from Hunter College, a Certificate in Geographic Information Science from Penn State University, and a BA in Sociology and Urban Studies from Saint Peter's University.
