Rick Duarte, BS., MLS., has extensive experience in sustainability, engineering, and diversity initiatives within the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California since 1994. Currently working in the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Rick leads initiatives to promote equity and inclusion while fostering collaborative relationships. Additionally, Rick oversees the Sustainable Business Outreach Program, ensuring participation goals for Small Business Enterprises and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises are met. Rick's engineering expertise includes designing civil drawings for significant projects as a Senior Civil Designer. Prior experience includes roles as Engineering Coordinator for the Inland Feeder Program at Parsons and Civil CADD Technician at MWH Global, contributing to various water treatment and infrastructure projects. Rick holds multiple degrees in sustainability, leadership, water resources engineering, and business from renowned institutions.
