Alanna Ocampo-Pelland began their work experience in 2009 as a Research & Development Intern at Covidien. Alanna then went on to work as a Research Intern at Metrum Research Group from 2009 to 2010. In 2011, they joined Metrum Research Group LLC as a Research Scientist, and simultaneously pursued a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Connecticut. Alanna successfully completed their PhD in 2016 and continued working at Metrum Research Group LLC as a Research Scientist.

Alanna Ocampo-Pelland attended the University of Connecticut from 2005 to 2010, where they obtained both their Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Biomedical Engineering. Alanna then pursued further education at the same institution, completing their PhD in Biomedical Engineering with a specialization in Pharmacometrics from 2011 to 2016.
