Ari Vaisanen

Ari Vaisanen has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Ari currently works at Metso Outotec as a Sales Director, Solution Sales since September 2020. Before that, they held the position of Sales Director - Mineral processing solutions at Outotec (Finland) Oy from March 2015 to September 2020.

From 2003 to 2015, Ari worked at Outotec Almaty, Kazakhstan, where they held various roles including Sales Director - Mineral Processing Solutions from March 2013 to February 2015, Sales - Mineral processing plants from January 2009 to March 2013, VP - Plant Projects from January 2007 to April 2010, and Project Manager from October 2003 to January 2009.

Prior to their time at Outotec, Ari worked at Outokumpu in different positions. Ari was a Project Manager from January 2003 to October 2003 and from September 2000 to February 2003, where they worked on sales phase Mineral prosessing plant delivery project to Russia and was involved in SAP development for project management purposes. Ari also served as the VP - Engineering at Outokumpu from February 1998 to October 2000, leading the engineering department.

Ari Vaisanen started their career at Compania Minera Zaldivar in 1996 as a Planning Engineer at the mine department and worked there until 1998. Ari also worked at Outokumpu from 1977 to 1996, where they held several roles including Consultant - Open Pit Technologies from August 1994 to January 1996, Mine Superintendent from June 1990 to August 1994, Mine planning and operation engineer from January 1985 to June 1990, Mining Engineer from January 1984 to January 1985, and Summer trainee from June 1977 to December 1983.

In 1981, Ari worked as a Summer Trainee in an underground mine at Noranda Mines Ltd.

Ari Vaisanen began their education in 1975 at Outokummun Lukio, College, where they completed their college studies. In 1977, they started their military service and served as a Captain in the field of Infantry and pioneering until 2018. Additionally, they pursued higher education from 1978 to 1983 at Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, earning a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering.
