Markku Simula

Markku Simula is the current President of Aggregates at Metso Outotec. Prior to this, they worked at Outotec from 2007 to 2015, where they were Head of Risk Management for Services. In this role, they were responsible for developing and managing the risk management operating model globally for services, including benchmarking, launching, and training (sales and operations). Markku was also the service representative in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and facilitated risk review processes globally for long-term service agreements such as Operation and Maintenance (O&M). In addition, they were responsible for O&M sales development and sales funnel management, as well as business intelligence and OPEX data management.

Markku Simula studied physical metallurgy, materials science, and industrial economics at Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, and earned a Licenciate of Technology degree.

They are on a team with Eeva Sipilä - CFO & Deputy CEO, Sami Takaluoma - President, Services, and Heikki Metsälä - President, Consumables. Markku Simula reports to Pekka Vauramo, President & CEO.
