Tuomo Vendelin

Tuomo Vendelin is a highly experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Chief Engineer for Gearboxes at Metso since February 2025. Vendelin previously held the position of Principal Engineer at Winergy from March 2023 to January 2025, and acted as Sub-business unit manager for Project Services at Eurofins Expert Services Oy from February 2021 to February 2023. Prior to these roles, Vendelin worked at Moventas from May 2015 to January 2021, where responsibilities included leading a technology team focused on procedural technology development and overseeing the design of wind turbine gearboxes. Vendelin's early career includes positions as a Design Engineer and various trainee roles at Santasalo and Sulzer, alongside a strong educational background with a Master of Science in Technology from Aalto University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from JAMK University of Applied Sciences.
