Masa Micunovic

Research Ambassador at Metta Space

Masa Micunovic has a diverse work experience in various research and organizational roles. In 2014, Masa served as a Volunteer at L'Ecole de la Paix, working with children from low socio-economic backgrounds and immigrant families. From 2014 to 2015, they were the Head of Finance at TEDxYouth@Maastricht, managing sponsorships and budgeting. In 2016, Masa interned at the Women in Parliaments Global Forum, contributing to report production and drafting proposals. They also co-organized events for LEAP Conferences, where they oversaw team meetings and finances from 2016 to 2017. In 2018, Masa had a brief stint as a Visiting Researcher at Kotor Psychiatric Hospital. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as an intern at the Clinical Center of Serbia, gaining exposure to various psychology departments. In 2019, Masa was a Research Assistant at IE University, conducting research on mindfulness and biofeedback for stress in the student population. They then joined Metta Space in 2020 as a Research Ambassador. Currently, Masa is a DPhil Candidate in Psychiatry at the University of Oxford, where they have also held roles as a Research Assistant in the Early Psychosis Research Group and carried out two MSc projects analyzing fMRI, MRS, and EEG data.

Masa Micunovic has a strong educational background in psychology and neuroscience. In 2019, Masa enrolled at the University of Oxford and completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Clinical and Therapeutic Neuroscience. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2019, Masa attended IE University where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. To further enhance their education, in 2015, Masa obtained The IB Diploma from United World College Maastricht through the International Baccalaureate program.
