Iiro Vanne

Iiro Vanne is a seasoned naval architect currently serving as the Risk Assessment Lead at Meyer Turku since May 2018, focusing on safety and risk assessments through advanced simulations and probabilistic risk assessment tools. Vanne's expertise encompasses both the Naval Architecture and Sales and Design departments, having contributed to ship safety through fire and evacuation simulations, as well as developing in-house safety assessment capabilities. In addition to ongoing work at Meyer Turku, Vanne is a Doctoral Candidate at Aalto University, researching the cost-benefit analysis of safety systems on passenger ships. With a solid foundation in marine technology from prestigious institutions, Vanne has accumulated diverse experience in various roles, including previous positions at ILS Oy, Wärtsilä, and ALMACO Group.
