John Ngari

John Ngari is the Regional VP based in Nairobi, Kenya. He is a Kenyan Financial Services Professional with a passion for using his experience to make a lasting economic and social impact on the continent. He started his career as a Corporate Banking Analyst at Citibank Nairobi in 2011 and progressed his banking career at Stanbic Bank (Standard Bank) as a Risk Manager, and as a Corporate Banker managing Telecomms, Media and Technology Clients (TMT) until 2017. He thereafter made the leap into Fintech, working as Country Manager for Jumo World for 2 years and a short stint as Country Manager, SafeBoda Kenya in 2019-2020. He holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi, and is a Certified Investments and Financial Analyst (CIFA, Kenya). He also holds an Executive Education Certification in Strategic Client Engagement from University of Cape Town, and is currently completing his Masters’ of Science thesis at Kenyatta University, Kenya. When he is not thinking about Finance and Tech ideas, John enjoys photography, a nice game of soccer and the drama of a Formula 1 race.
