Bryan Ong

Bryan Ong is a Power Trader at MFT Energy, specializing in Australia Electricity derivatives trading since April 2023. Prior to this, Bryan served as an Analyst for Trafigura in Asia Pacific Power Trading from March 2021 to March 2023. Bryan’s experience includes a role in LNG Operations & Shipping and Gas Analyst on the European Trading Desk during the Commercial Graduate Program with RWE Supply & Trading GmbH. Bryan initially focused on analysis of the Australian Power market as the Asia Pacific Power Trading Analyst in the program, where Bryan developed a power cost stack model using Python. Earlier career positions include a Base Metals Trading Intern at Lobb Heng Pte. Ltd, a Sales and Trading Intern at Wilmar International, and a Financial Advisor at Great Eastern Life Singapore. Bryan’s educational background includes a degree in Aerospace Engineering with a second major in Business from Nanyang Technological University, supplemented by studies at Delft University of Technology and Hwa Chong Institution.
