Alexander B. Timlin is an emergency management planning and exercise subject matter expert for private and public sector organizations with experience in Fire Service and Emergency Management. Mr. Timlin has extensively written and revised emergency plans and was also actively involved in planning and response activities for New York City. As a member of the Fire Department New York (FDNY) Mr. Timlin rose to the rank of Lieutenant, Ladder Co.1, New York, NY. Alexander worked at the New York City Office of Emergency Management from 2003-2007. As an Interagency Coordinator for the Field Response Unit, Mr. Timlin managed emergency scenes from arrival through recovery. Under the direction of the Deputy Commissioner of External Affairs he assisted in emergency preparedness initiatives for the private sector and consulted corporate preparedness committees in all hazard and business continuity planning. He has also provided crisis management and communication planning. Mr. Timlin has consulted at the NYU Langone Medical Center in Emergency Management and Enterprise Resilience; assisting in emergency management, business continuity and disaster recovery. He has provided direct support to the NJ Office of Homeland Security (NJ OHSP) in resiliency planning and has assisted on the development of the Training Program Framework of course outlines for the NY-NJ-CT-PA Regional Catastrophic Planning Team.
