Zachary Hafner

Zachary Hafner serves on the Council of Advisors at the SETI Institute, beginning in January 2024, where the focus is on providing business insights to further the organization's mission. Additionally, Zachary is a Strategic Advisor at MGC Health Advisors, guiding health systems through significant transformative changes. As a Co-Founder and member of the Board of Directors at Josie since June 2022, the mission involves supporting working parents in achieving a sustainable work-life balance. Zachary has been the Executive Director of the Barbara Ann Steel Charitable Foundation since September 2016, aiming to advance health and knowledge for a better future. Previous roles include Senior Partner at Optum, Partner at The Advisory Board Company, and Principal at both Oliver Wyman and Kaufman Hall & Associates, contributing to health care strategy and consulting. Zachary holds an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School and a BS in Physiology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
