Nick Barbour

Nick Barbour is a seasoned Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with extensive experience in the engineering design and manufacturing support of heavy-duty construction equipment. Currently at MGF Excavation Safety Solutions since July 2017, Nick specializes in temporary works construction equipment, particularly focusing on heavy-duty fabrication and hydraulic ram design, alongside research and development. Previously, from July 2001 to June 2017, Nick worked at Joy Global Inc., where responsibilities included designing powered roof support units for longwall mining, beginning as a structural engineer focused on heavy-duty welded fabrications. Earlier experience includes a role as a Research and Development Engineer at Rotork Controls Inc. from July 1995 to September 2000, contributing to the design and development of electro-hydraulic fail-safe actuators for extreme environments.
