Melody Swisher

Melody Swisher, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning over 16 years. Melody is currently the Director of Organizational Learning and Development at Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas, Inc. In this role, they are responsible for managing and aligning the strategic plan and goals with course, curriculum, and program development. Melody also evaluates the effectiveness of organizational learning offerings and makes recommendations for improvement. Melody previously served as the Organizational Development and Engagement Manager and the Organizational Learning and Staff Development Manager at the same company. Prior to joining Methodist Healthcare Ministries, Melody worked as part of the Corporate Training and Strategic Development team at Southern Careers Institute. Melody also gained valuable experience as a Student Services and Development Executive at Apollo Education Group and as a Student Services and Compliance professional at The University of Texas at San Antonio. Melody's expertise lies in training, development, and enrichment activities around operations, compliance, management, and leadership.

Melody Swisher earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2005. Following this, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Healthcare Administration at The University of Texas at San Antonio from 2006 to 2008.

In terms of certifications, Melody Swisher obtained the DEI Facilitation Certification (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) from ESSENCE LEARNING, LLC in March 2023. Melody also holds the Quality of Texas Examiner certification from the Quality of Texas Foundation, which they obtained in August 2022. In addition, they have the APTD certification from the Association of Talent Development, achieved in April 2019.
