Dr. Danixia Cuevas is a seasoned educator with extensive experience in legal studies and pedagogy, currently serving as a Professor at Miami Dade College since January 1999, where courses in an ABA-approved Paralegal Studies Program are taught. Dr. Cuevas has held several visiting lecturer positions at prestigious institutions, including the National University of Advanced Legal Studies and Universidad de Lima, delivering workshops and lectures on legal ethics and the role of community paralegals in enhancing access to justice. As a Fulbright Specialist, Dr. Cuevas focused on law and technology, training faculty on innovative teaching methodologies and the development of educational pathways for future paralegals in both India and the U.S. With a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French and Juris Doctor degrees from Rutgers University, Dr. Cuevas combines academic expertise with practical experience as a former Forensic Mitigation Specialist in death penalty cases.
