Thom Powers

Thom Powers is currently the host of the Pure Nonfiction podcast, interviewing documentary filmmakers. Thom is also the co-host of the Documentary of the Week radio spot on WNYC Radio. With extensive experience in the film industry, Thom has been a documentary programmer at the Toronto International Film Festival and the Miami International Film Festival. Thom is the founder and artistic director of the Pure Nonfiction screening series, as well as the co-founder and artistic director of DOC NYC. Additionally, Thom has taught courses at the School of Visual Arts and New York University, specializing in documentary filmmaking.
