Atul D. Pradhan

Dr. Atul Pradhan is Micatu’s Chief Technical Officer. As a co-founder of Micatu in August 2011, Dr. Pradhan brings over 40 years’ experience in the optics industry and oversees the strategy for advanced optical sensing technologies across the company and development of core technologies.

Prior to Micatu, Dr. Pradhan oversaw the development and prototyping of the Google Streetview lens, pioneered advancements for the development of optical thin film monitors, and micro-optic assemblies for step and scan lithography. Dr. Pradhan, has had published numerous publications and patents within the field of optics and optical sensing applications.

Dr. Atul Pradhan graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he earned a Doctor of Philosophy with Honors in Physics and conducted this Postdoctoral in astrophysics at NASA JPL and is a NASA Fellow.
