Dan Kieny is President, Consulting and Technology Solutions for Michael Baker International. In this role, he focuses on technology differentiation and innovation to support growth initiatives, identifies and incubates technologies and maximizes opportunities with consulting and technology-based solutions.
Mr. Kieny offers 30 years of experience in IT, including several prominent leadership positions within our industry. Mr. Kieny spent 12 years at MWH Global, serving as the firm’s Global IT Director and Global Innovation Director. He also worked at Black & Veatch for four years, serving as Senior Vice President and Global Chief Information Officer. He was then asked to lead the spin-off of Pivvot, a software company that delivers intelligent asset management systems to infrastructure organizations, and to be Pivvot’s CEO and President. Earlier in his career, Mr. Kieny held posts at Applied Theory, Infoimage, Mincom USA, IBM/Tivoli Systems and First Data Corporation, assuming positions of increasing responsibility throughout his career.
Mr. Kieny has a background spanning all aspects of IT, including technology, innovation and cybersecurity, and rich in related experience in governance, talent management and organizational change. He earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Mr. Kieny’s leadership credentials include being ITIL certified and PROSCI Change Management certified. He has served as a member of The Wall Street Journal CIO Network and numerous client advisory boards for high-tech companies.
