Christopher Smith

Chris joins the foundation as a program officer in the Austin office working with the US portfolio of projects. Prior to joining the foundation, Chris served as the executive director of the College Transition Collaborative, which helps create more equitable learning environments in higher education. He has previously worked for the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering, Inc. (NACME), where he led the NACME Scholars Program, and The After-School Corporation, where he evaluated out-of-school programs across New York City.

Chris received his doctorate from Fordham University in Applied Developmental Psychology and earned his Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University in English literature.
