Amani Cheniour

Amani Cheniour is a Numerical Simulation Specialist at Michelin since June 2023, with extensive experience in modeling composite materials and radiation damage in nuclear systems. Prior to this role, Amani served as an R&D Associate and R&D Assistant at Oak Ridge National Laboratory from May 2020 to June 2023, focusing on advanced materials research. Academic experience includes positions as a Research Assistant at the University of Florida, where Amani modeled radiation damage in nuclear fuels using the phase field method, and as a Summer Intern at Idaho National Laboratory, investigating microstructure evolution in UO2. Amani also contributed as a Research Assistant at Penn State University and studied fission fragments at Michigan State University. Amani holds a PhD in Materials Engineering from the University of Florida and a Diplôme d'Ingénieur in Nuclear Engineering from Grenoble INP - Phelma.
