Sara Chisholm-Batten

The clients Sara advises include multi-national corporations, development finance institutions, professional fiduciaries, high net worth individuals and public bodies. She has a particular aptitude for complex, multi-faceted disputes which she navigates with clear thinking and a keen commercial perspective.

Since moving to Michelmores from a major global law firm, Sara's overseas practice has expanded. Her current caseload includes disputes where parties and assets are based offshore, in Europe, Africa, Asia, India, Russia, North and South America, New Zealand and other parts of the world.

Sara is a specialist in cross border enforcement measures and has a wealth of first hand international experience in this area (including in Emerging Markets), which she uses for the benefit of her clients.

Sara is an officer on the International Bar Association's litigation committee and is an observer for the IBA at the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH) Jurisdiction Project.

Sara is ranked as a notable practitioner in Chambers and Partners 2022 for Litigation, and as a Leading Individual for fraud cases in Legal 500. She is also ranked as a "Future Leader: Litigation" in Who's Who Legal 2022.
