Avazeh (Ava) Attari has a diverse background in various organizations. Avazeh (Ava) presently holds the position of Director of Higher Education Partnerships at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, starting in June 2023. Prior to this, they worked at the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity as a State Administrative Manager, from May 2021 to June 2023. At the University of Michigan, they served as a Data & Policy Fellow at the Youth Policy Lab from September 2019 to May 2021. Avazeh (Ava) was also the Program Director at SMILE Myanmar from May 2018 to June 2019 and an Alumni Engagement Consultant at Columbia University in the City of New York from August 2018 to April 2019. Previously, they held roles at Bellevue/NYU Program for Survivors of Torture as a Program Coordinator from March 2014 to July 2017, Mission: Restore, Inc. as an mHealth Consultant and Research Fellow from March 2016 to September 2016, and served as a Community Health Advisor in the Peace Corps from July 2011 to August 2013.

Avazeh (Ava) Attari pursued higher education, earning a Master's Degree in Public Administration in Development Practice from Columbia | SIPA. This educational endeavor took place from 2015 to 2017. Prior to this, from 2006 to 2010, Avazeh Attari received a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology from the University of Central Florida.
