Gisgie Dávila Gendreau has an extensive work history in the fields of communications and public relations. Gisgie Dávila started their career as a journalist at Lansing State Journal and Booth Newspapers before transitioning to roles at Michigan State University and the State of Michigan. Gendreau went on to hold positions at the Michigan Education Association, Michigan Department of Human Services, Michigan Department of State, and the Michigan Municipal League Foundation. Gisgie Dávila currently serves as the Communications and Government Relations Director at MESSA, where they continue to utilize their expertise in strategic planning and communications to drive organizational success.
Gisgie Dávila Gendreau obtained a B.A. in Journalism from Michigan State University. In 2019, they completed a Certificate in Fund Raising Management from Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.
