Luke Slisz is an experienced assessment manager and developer with a diverse background in creating high-stakes English language proficiency tests. Currently employed at Michigan Language Assessment since April 2018, Luke also works as a freelance item writer for the Center for Applied Linguistics and Second Language Testing, Inc., contributing to various assessment materials aligned with recognized proficiency scales. Prior roles include serving as a second language acquisition specialist at the National Foreign Language Center and leading curriculum development at ASU Global Launch. Luke holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Minnesota.
