George Singos has had a long and varied career in the manufacturing industry. George began their career in 1985 as a Metallurgical Quality Laboratory Technician/Manager for Ispat Industries Ltd. George then moved to Johnson Controls Automotive in 1992 as a Plant Metallurgist. In 1996, they became Quality Manager for MNP Corporation, and in 1998 they became Sales Manager for Dover Corporation. In 2005, they took on the role of Global Marketing Manager for Barnes Group Inc., and in 2007 they became Director of Business Development and Marketing for GKN Sinter Metals. In 2009, they returned to the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (MMTC) as a Business Leader Advisor. In 2012, they became Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business Development for Woodlawn Manufacturing, LTD., and in 2014 they became President of Sophikon Business Solutions. Finally, in 2016, they returned to the MMTC as Business Leader Advisor/Industry 4.0 Lead, where they currently support clients in their Industry 4.0 journey and acts as a liaison between the MMTC and NIST/MEP and the 51 Regional MEP Centers.
George Singos has a long and varied educational history. George started their studies at Eastern Michigan University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology. George then went on to Central Michigan University, where they earned a Master of Science in International Business in 2005. After that, they pursued post-graduate studies in Marketing Management at Oakland University from 2009 to 2011. George then moved on to University of Detroit Mercy for post-graduate studies in Business Turnaround Management from 2016 to 2018. Most recently, they earned a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Management from Harvard Extension School in 2021.
