Brian McCown

Brian McCown, CMB®, AMP, CRU has a comprehensive work experience in the mortgage industry. Brian currently holds the position of Vice President at the Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association, where they have also served as the Secretary/Treasurer and President of the Southeast Chapter. Prior to this, Brian worked at Michigan First Mortgage as the AVP of Mortgage Operations. Brian also held the role of VP of Underwriting at Ross Mortgage Corporation and Sr. Team Lead of Underwriting at United Shore Financial Services. Brian has extensive experience with JPMorgan Chase, where they worked as the Vice President of Underwriting Center Manager and Assistant Vice President - Underwriting Supervisor. Brian started their career in the mortgage industry at United Guaranty Corporation as an Underwriter and later took on additional roles as Team Lead/Auditor and Auditor. Brian's earlier experience includes working as an Underwriter at Flagstar Bank.

Brian McCown, CMB®, AMP, CRU, attended Central Michigan University from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Political Science. From 1996 to 1998, they attended Capital University Law School, although it is not specified if they obtained a degree. In 2016 to 2018, Brian attended the School of Mortgage Banking I, II, III, earning the Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) designation. Brian has also obtained additional certifications such as the Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) Designation in 2019, the Certified Residential Underwriter (CRU) - Level I in 2006, and became a member of various organizations related to the mortgage industry, including the Mortgage Bankers Association and the Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association.
