Jonathan Dunford has a diverse and extensive work experience. Jonathan is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Michigan Orthopaedic Surgeons since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Surgical Care Affiliates where they held the role of Facility CEO from January 2017 to March 2023. Jonathan'sresponsibilities included operational oversight of Premier Surgical Center of Michigan, where they successfully developed a total joint program resulting in a significant increase in total joint volume. Jonathan also served as an Administrator at Surgical Care Affiliates, where they drove growth and operational success for two multi-specialty ASCs in Chicago from July 2014 to December 2016.

Jonathan also has experience working at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic. Jonathan held the position of Administrator and was responsible for four Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) from May 2013 to May 2014. Jonathan also served as an Assistant Administrator, where they supported the administration of 76 main campus ORs and 26 ORs at four regional ASCs. During this time, they completed various strategic initiatives and contributed to improving patient experience and increasing surgical volume. Jonathan started their career as an Administrative Fellow at Cleveland Clinic from June 2011 to June 2012.

Additionally, Jonathan worked as a Business Development Intern at Blue Care Network in 2010, where they developed a proposal and contractual framework for a regional physician group, resulting in significant cost savings. Jonathan also modeled a physician pay-for-performance program that considered socioeconomic disparities.

Jonathan gained valuable experience as a Student Consultant at Karmanos Cancer Institute from February 2010 to April 2010. Jonathan also worked as an Executive Intern at The Nebraska Medical Center from May 2009 to August 2009.

Earlier in their career, Jonathan served as a Research Associate at Wayne State University from August 2006 to August 2008. Jonathan conducted experiments to develop a prosthesis for deaf patients and received the Del Harder Research Award in 2008. Jonathan also worked as a Project Manager at Ascension Health from January 2007 to June 2007, where they led a joint research effort and contributed to a white paper discussing factors influencing a patient's hospital recommendation.

Jonathan Dunford completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management at Brigham Young University from 1999 to 2006. Jonathan then pursued further education at the University of Michigan from 2008 to 2011, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHSA) with a focus on Healthcare Management. Jonathan completed their MBA and MHSA degrees at the University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
