Chief Estimator at Michigan Paving & Materials

Aaron Downing has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple companies. Aaron worked at Michigan Paving & Materials from 2010 to present, starting as an intern before moving up to become the Area Manager and ultimately the Chief Estimator. In these roles, they were responsible for managing construction projects, bidding on public and private work, coordinating with subcontractors, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. From 2017 to 2019, Aaron also served as the Logistics Manager at Michigan Paving & Materials, where they established and maintained customer and carrier relationships, reached revenue goals, and managed various computer systems. Prior to their time at Michigan Paving & Materials, Aaron worked as an Office Tech at F.C. Mason Company from 2008 to 2011, and as a Laborer at Midwest Bridge Co from 2005 to 2008.

Aaron Downing's education history is as follows:

From 2009 to 2011, Aaron attended Ferris State University and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Construction Management. During the same period, they also obtained an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Civil Technology from Ferris State University.

Prior to attending Ferris State University, Aaron studied at Lansing Community College from 2005 to 2009. Although they did not earn a degree during this time, their field of study included Architectural Technology and General Studies.

Before their college education, Aaron graduated from Saint Johns High School in 2005.

In terms of additional certifications, Aaron obtained the following certifications from MDOT (Michigan Department of Transportation):

- Superpave Hot Mix Asphalt Designer in March 2012.

- Bituminous Technician in March 2011.

- Density Technician in February 2011.

- Aggregate Technician in January 2011.
