Alan McCarrick

Alan McCarrick currently serves as the IT Director for the Department of Police and Public Safety at Michigan State University, a position held since June 2023. Prior to this role, Alan worked as a Manager in Public Sector Technology Consulting at Plante Moran from September 2021 to June 2023. Alan's extensive experience also includes serving as a Technical Delivery Lead and Systems Engineer at Dewpoint between July 2015 and September 2021, and as Information Systems Manager for the City of East Lansing from September 1998 to July 2015. Earlier in Alan's career, positions included Software Test Engineer at Applied Innovation and Computer Communication Specialist in the United States Air Force. Alan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus in Computer Information Management from Northwood University.
