Caitlin Kirby

Caitlin Kirby is an accomplished educational researcher with a focus on environmental science and decision-making. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Research at Michigan State University, Caitlin has previously held positions such as Science Education Researcher at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Fulbright Researcher at the ILS - Institut für Landes- und Stadtentwicklungsforschung gGmbH. Caitlin's expertise encompasses conducting mixed-method research, developing and assessing curriculum, and teaching courses related to science decision-making and environmental education. With a strong background in both qualitative and quantitative research, Caitlin has also contributed to various projects assessing the social impacts of urban agriculture and has experience in policy analysis. Educational credentials include a PhD in Environmental Science and Policy from Michigan State University and a BS in Environmental Biology/Microbiology.
