Philip Douthit currently serves as the Director of Investments at Michigan State University, a position held since October 2020. Prior to this role, Douthit was the Head of Quantitative Analytics & Technology at Wells Fargo Portfolio Risk Advisors from June 2011 to February 2019, where risk solutions for institutional portfolios were developed. Earlier experience includes serving as the Director of Research at Ferrell Capital Management, where various funds were launched, and as a Senior Consultant at Trading Technology Co., focused on developing trading systems for financial institutions. Douthit's career began as Vice President - Development at Clifford Drake & Company, where a bond trading system was designed and implemented. Douthit holds a BS in Naval Architecture from Webb Institute, obtained between 1968 and 1972.
