Ivan Sierra

Ivan Sierra has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry, with a focus on international voice, messaging, and IoT services. Ivan started their career at Latinet as a Business Development Manager, where they led a team in delivering new interconnections and enterprise customers for telecom services. Ivan then joined Chance Telecom as the Director of Sales, overseeing sales efforts for the company.

Later, Ivan joined Digicel Group and held various positions within the company. As the Group Head of Carrier Relations, they were responsible for delivering revenue growth in the International Voice business across multiple markets. Ivan also managed cross-functional teams and built relationships with Tier 1 carriers and global MNO/MVNOs. Ivan then took on the role of Group Head of Voice, Messaging & IoT Services, where they led revenue-generating activities for wholesale and retail services. Additionally, they played a key role in launching new products and managing key accounts.

Most recently, Ivan worked at MicroAI as the Vice President of Global Sales. In this role, they were responsible for driving global sales of edge AI/ML solutions in the industries of telecom, manufacturing, automotive, and more. Ivan delivered intelligent solutions and used a transformational approach to improve device performance and security.

In addition to their telecom career, Ivan also invested and served as a strategic advisor to Half Moon Empanadas.

Ivan Sierra's education history includes a postgraduate degree in Sustainability Studies from the University of Cambridge. Ivan also obtained an mMBA degree in Business Administration and Management, General from McGill University - Desautels Faculty of Management. Additionally, Ivan pursued a postgraduate degree in Information Technology from Barry University and completed their undergraduate studies at Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.

In terms of additional certifications, Ivan is an associate member of Ten Thousand Coffees, obtained a certification in Digital Transformation from McGill University - Desautels Faculty of Management, and holds an executive certification in Leadership from The Wharton School. Ivan also completed the Sustainability Essentials program at the University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education.
