Katherine Hays has over 30 years of work experience in the technology industry. Katherine began their career in 1986 as a Design Engineer at GTE Government Systems, Communication Systems Division. In 1988, they joined Mentor Graphics / Silicon Compiler Systems as an Applications Engineer and Technical Trainer, where they provided pre-sales application support for Mentor Graphics IC tools. In 1992, they moved to Silvar Lisco as a Sr. Applications Engineer, providing pre-sales application support for Silvar-Lisco place and route tools. In 1994, they joined Avant! Corporation / Integrated Silicon Systems as a Sr. Applications Engineer, providing pre-sales application support for Avant!'s design verification, parasitic extraction, custom layout, and signal integrity tools. In 1997, they joined Ultima Interconnect Technology as a Sr. Applications Engineer, providing pre and post sales application support for Ultima's delay calculation, parasitic reduction, and parasitic extraction tools. Finally, in 1999, they joined Micro Magic, Inc. as an Applications Engineering Manager, providing pre and post sales application support for MMI's design tools.

Katherine Hays received their high school diploma from Highland High School in Albuquerque, NM in 1982. Katherine then attended Boston University and earned their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) in 1986.
