Julian Adams is a seasoned sales executive with extensive experience in the biotechnology and diagnostics sectors. Currently serving as the Sales Executive for the Asia Pacific region at SOPHiA GENETICS since May 2021, Julian oversees territories including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines, while supporting Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. Previous roles at SOPHiA GENETICS encompassed sales and business development management in areas such as South Korea and Japan. Prior to this, Julian held significant positions at QIAGEN and Thermo Fisher Scientific, where responsibilities included managing national accounts and driving adoption of diagnostic solutions. Julian's career also includes research roles at various academic institutions, culminating in a PhD from The University of Adelaide, alongside a robust educational background in genetics and biochemistry.

Micro-X was founded in 2011 in Victoria by current Managing Director, Peter Rowland, to commercialise the miniaturisation benefits of CNT x-ray tubes in mobile radiography.The CNT technology partnership with XinRay Systems was begun in 2013 and an exclusive Heads-of-Agreement was signed with Carestream Health Inc of Rochester, New York, inrespect of development collaboration and global distribution of the first mobile medical x-ray product in 2014.Richard Hannebery joined as a Director in 2014 and arranged Series A and B funding tranches of $13M which allowed full-scale engineering development of the x-ray product to commence early in that year.Micro-X Pty Ltd became a public company, Micro-X Ltd, in October 2015 and Lodge Partners led a $20M IPO on the ASX in December of that year.
