Vanessa Chapa

Vanessa Chapa is a microbiologist with a strong background in research and development, currently employed at Microbial Discovery Group since June 2022. Prior to this role, Vanessa worked as a laboratory servicer at AbbVie from December 2021 to June 2022. Additional experience includes a sales associate position at MARSHALLS LLC from January 2017 to December 2021 and a notable internship with Cornell University's Microbial Friends and Foes program in the summer of 2021. Vanessa's academic foundation is rooted in a Bachelor's degree in Biology, which was obtained from Carthage College in May 2022, following studies at Illinois Wesleyan University from August 2018 to April 2019.
