Narendran G-Dayanandan has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Narendran began their career as a Research Assistant at Maa Plastics in 2002, where they worked until 2003. Narendran then pursued their education, obtaining a graduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Connecticut from 2004 to 2008. After completing their studies, Narendran joined the University of Connecticut again, this time as a Graduate Research Assistant in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Narendran held this position from 2009 to 2014. Following that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from 2015 to 2017. From there, Narendran took on the role of an Assistant Research Professor at the University of Connecticut starting in 2017 until 2018. Currently, they are employed as a Senior Scientist at Microbiotix, Inc, where they have been since November 2018.

Narendran G-Dayanandan completed their education in a variety of fields. Narendran began their education at St. Mary's Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, where they studied from 1984 to 1996, but did not receive a specific degree or field of study. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Polymers from the University of Madras, graduating in 2002. Narendran then went on to earn a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Chemistry from the University of Connecticut between the years 2004 and 2008. Continuing their academic journey, Narendran pursued a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a specialization in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Connecticut, completing their studies in 2014.
