Robert Divivier

VP, Product Development at Microchip Technology

Robert Divivier is currently the VP of Product Development at Microchip Technology. Robert has over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, with a focus on flash memory controllers.

Divivier started their career as a design engineer at National Semiconductor in 1993. Robert spent two years there before moving to Amdahl, where they worked as a design manager for seven years. In 1999, they left Amdahl to join Cisco Systems as a manager of hardware design.

After four years at Cisco, Divivier became the VP of Engineering at ZettaCom, where they oversaw the development of enterprise NVMe flash controllers. Robert left ZettaCom in 2004 to join IDT as a senior director of engineering. While at IDT, they were responsible for the development of enterprise NVMe flash controllers.

In 2013, Divivier left IDT to join PMC-Sierra as a senior director of engineering. Robert held this position until 2016, when they joined Microchip Technology as the VP of Product Development.

Robert Divivier's educational career includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the City College of New York (CCNY), an MBA from Santa Clara University, and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

Their manager is Steve Sanghi, Chairman & CEO. They are on a team with Clayton Pillion - VP, HMID, Patrick F. Johnson - SVP, Mixed Signal, Timing and FPGA Business Units, and Rob Stein - VP, Worldwide Embedded Systems Engineering & Technical Training, Client Engagement.
