Roberto Delgado

Sr. Director, Quality at Microfabrica

Roberto Delgado has extensive work experience in quality management and engineering roles. Roberto began their career as a Robot Technician at Roboshop, Inc in 1988 and worked on assembling and testing animatronic robots. Roberto then moved on to Edcliff Instruments as a Quality Technician, where they performed failure analyses on military products. In 1993, they joined Alfred Mann Foundation as an Engineering Technologist, conducting long-term studies and performing hybrid electronic testing. From 1996 to 1999, they served as a Manufacturing Engineer at BLH Electronics, overseeing the transfer of process lines to Costa Rica. At Inamed, they worked as a Quality Engineer/Supervisor from 1999 to 2003, improving quality system components and addressing non-conforming material issues. Roberto then joined STAAR Surgical as a Quality Engineering Manager, contributing to FDA compliance and obtaining ISO 13485 certification. From 2007 to 2011, they were a Quality Assurance Manager at Microfabrica, Inc, implementing a Quality Management System in compliance with regulations. At Covidien, they worked as a Quality Manager from 2011 to 2012, handling quality transfer planning and management reviews. Roberto joined Elenza, Inc in 2012 as a Director of Quality, responsible for developing and implementing the Quality Management System. In 2013, they returned to Microfabrica as the Director and later Sr. Director of Quality, overseeing quality assurance and control activities. Roberto has experience in regulatory compliance, ISO standards, and quality management systems.

Roberto Delgado earned a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Robotics from ITT Technical Institute. Roberto also completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Robotics-Electronic Engineering from ITT Technical Institute between 1985 and 1988.
