Sara Carcamo's work experience includes:
- Sara currently works as a Phenotyping Platform Leader at Micropep Technologies, where they plan and develops phenotyping protocols using high-throughput, multispectral imaging tools to collect valuable data for decision-making on peptides' performance in plants. Sara also manages a team of research technicians.
- From 2017 to 2021, they worked as a Research Manager at Monrovia Plants. In this role, they conducted research trials in production greenhouse and field settings, focusing on improving product quality, readiness, and reducing production costs. Sara also established a climate-controlled growing room and tissue culture lab.
- Sara worked as a Landscape Manager at Indigo Farm Landscapes from 2016 to 2017, and at Oakleaf Landscape as a Landscape Manager from March 2016 to August 2016. In these roles, they collaborated with gardeners, managed projects and teams, and took care of garden maintenance and design.

- In 2012, they worked as a Research Assistant at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, participating in botanical research and utilizing laboratory techniques such as DNA extraction and sequencing.
- Sara also received a Dairy Farm scholarship at COVAP in 2012.
Sara Carcamo completed their education at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. From 2007 to 2011, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Engineering. Later, they pursued a Master's Degree in Plant Breeding and Plant Pathology, which they completed from 2011 to 2014. In 2013, as part of an Erasmus exchange program, they studied plant production and genetics at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB). Alongside their formal education, Sara obtained additional certifications. In December 2016, they achieved Duolingo Portuguese Fluency: Elementary (Estimated) from Duolingo. Later, in December 2018, they obtained a certification in irrigation Water Quality & Treatment from the University of Florida.
