HR Project Leader at MicroPort Orthopedics

Kevin Williamson has extensive work experience, starting with their role as an Officer in the United States Air Force from 1986 to 1994. During their time in the Air Force, they achieved the rank of Captain and received accolades such as Distinguished Graduate/Outstanding Contributor from Squadron Officer's School, Company Grade Officer of the Quarter, and Company Grade Officer of the Year.

Following their military service, Kevin joined Zimmer Biomet in 2002, where they held various positions over the years. As an Associate Manager-Associate Director, they provided HR support to the company's largest manufacturing department. During this time, they oversaw the creation and implementation of HR solutions in a new manufacturing facility in Shannon, Ireland. Their contributions also include reducing employee turnover by over 20% through the authoring of the company's first FMLA policy and addressing new HIPAA regulations.

Kevin later became the Director of Human Resources for Global Operations and Logistics at Zimmer Biomet. In this strategic role, they implemented HR policies and programs and facilitated change management strategies to improve business outcomes. Notably, they partnered with Legal and Learning & Development teams to create a training program for front-line supervisors, resulting in a single-digit turnover rate within the hourly workforce and the company's lowest EEOC claim rate in 10 years.

Kevin's last role at Zimmer Biomet was Corporate Director of Human Resources. Kevin collaborated with other HR executives and the manufacturing function to deliver strategic HR solutions for divisional and regional initiatives. Kevin received the "HR Impact on the Business Award" for opening the company's first Regional Business Service Center. Kevin also implemented HR and Total Rewards strategies, including programs for competitive salary and benefits, on-boarding, training, and development.

Currently, Kevin is working as an HR Project Leader at MicroPort Orthopedics. Kevin is leading a US-based job leveling project, overseeing initiatives to track compliance and quality violations, and spearheading the development of a 360-peer evaluation for organizational leadership.

Kevin Williamson earned a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management from Troy State University, where they studied from 1992 to 1994. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science/Criminal Justice from James Madison University, attending from 1981 to 1985. In addition to their formal education, Kevin has acquired additional certifications, including "Top 10 Rules for Highly Effective Leadership" and "Interview Master Class" from LinkedIn, which they completed in October 2022 and August 2022, respectively.
