Craig Chafin

Craig Chafin is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in design management and technical leadership. Currently serving as a Senior Design Manager at Microsemi Corporation since September 2015, Craig oversees a team of 24 engineers in North America and provides guidance to an additional 14 engineers in India, driving innovation in developing the next generation SAS core. Previous roles include Design Manager and Principal Design Engineer at Microsemi Corporation, where Craig successfully built new teams and improved product quality. Craig's prior experience includes a Technical Lead Design Engineer position at PMC-Sierra and various engineering roles at LSI and LSI Logic, contributing to hardware validation and ASIC design. Craig holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, VLSI, from the University of Cincinnati.
